Calling all pregnant and new moms! Theses classes are just for you! Join other women to learn about appropriate fitness and food during and after pregnancy. Class begins with a 25-minute mat pilates workout and are followed with a different nutrition discussion weekly.
Pre-Natal classes are appropriate for ALL pregnant women, exercises are specifically modified for each trimester.
Pre-Natal class focuses on:
- safe, simple exercises to keep you comfortable during pregnancy
- using breath and movement to connect to your changing body and pelvic core
- whole foods to promote energy and health for pregnancy
- super-foods for fetal growth and development
- nutrition for breastfeeding
- sampling of new foods
Post-Natal classes are appropriate for all new moms, six weeks to 18 months post-partum. Babies are always welcome to attend. Napping, nursing and diaper changing are all included activities!
Post-Natal class focuses on:
- simple, effective exercises to re-connect to the body after childbirth
- strengthening the abdominals and pelvic floor
- postural awareness to avoid aches from nursing and baby-carrying
- new foods to renew vitality and promote breastfeeding
- time saving tools and recipes to promote family nutrition
- sampling of new foods
Classes are taught by Amy Goldberg and Jennifer Martin, certified Pilates instructor. Classes are offered in three to six week series, but moms are welcome to join at any time. Please contact Amy at amy@ninemonthsnutrition.com if you have any questions or would like to join a class.
